The first portion of this gallery contains images of locations in the town of Mahone Bay followed by images created at Hirtles Beach and other nearby areas. Mahone Bay is about a 15 minute drive from Lunenburg. The town is known for the view across the Mahone Harbour of three prominent churches: St. James Anglican; St. John's Evangelical Lutheran; and Trinity United. This picturesque town is a popular tourist destination with upscale shops and restaurants. Hirtle's Beach is located about a 30 minute drive from Lunenburg. The beach has about three kilometres of sand, drumlin cliffs, fresh sea air and beautiful views. The beach leads to Gaff Point, a popular area for hiking with scenic coastal views and cliffs.
