Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia

Peggy’s Cove is located along the south shore of Nova Scotia on the eastern shore of St. Margarets Bay about a 45 minute drive from Halifax. Although Peggy’s Cove has been declared a preservation area, it is still an active fishing village. This major tourist attraction is famous for its picturesque and typically east-coast profile. The iconic Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, built in 1915, also known as Peggy’s Point Lighthouse, is one of the most popular lighthouses in Canada and remains an active lighthouse. The smooth wave-sculpted granite rocks add to the unique beauty of this location. Hover over image for file number and description, click on image to enlarge.
