Brant Street Pier

Brant Street Pier is located in Spencer Smith Park at the waterfront in Burlington, Ontario. The curve shaped pier extends 137 m (449 ft) over Lake Ontario and provides views of the lake and shoreline areas. The pier features a lighted lookout tower/raised platform elevated four meters above the deck. The raised platform includes a 12 m (39 ft) high beacon made of tubular structural steel framing. Construction began in 2006 and after a series of delays and issues the pier was officially opened in June 2013. I've enjoyed photographing this interesting and attractive structure on a few occasions and have included some of my favorite images in this gallery.
