This gallery contains images of the Peggy’s Cove area followed by images of Hirtle's Beach. Peggy's Cove is located along the south shore of Nova Scotia on the eastern shore of St. Margarets Bay about a 45 minute drive from Halifax. Although Peggy’s Cove has been declared a preservation area, it is still an active fishing village. This major tourist attraction is famous for its picturesque and typically east-coast profile. The iconic Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, built in 1915, also known as Peggy’s Point Lighthouse, is one of the most popular lighthouses in Canada and remains an active lighthouse. Hirtle's Beach is located about a 30 minute drive from Lunenburg. The beach has about three kilometres of sand, drumlin cliffs, fresh sea air and beautiful views. The beach leads to Gaff Point, a popular area for hiking with scenic coastal views and cliffs. More images of Hirtle's Beach are in the Waves gallery under the Themes menu.
