Cape Breton is known for it's breathtaking scenery, especially the Cabot Trail, a world-renowned scenic highway that encircles the island and passes by forests, rugged coastlines, small villages and towns. The island is also known for it's strong Celtic (Gaelic) and Acadian cultures, excellent hiking trails, dramatic cliffs, kayaking, beautiful beaches, world-class golf, the historic Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site and the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, lighthouses, whale watching, fresh seafood and much more. This gallery includes images of the popular Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Gypsum Mines Lake, fall colours and other sights along the Cabot Trail and the "Big Fiddle", the world's largest sculpture of a fiddle located at the waterfront in Sydney.
