Purchasing Prints

The addition of photographic art on walls in your home, office or commercial spaces can create a tremendous impact and make your surroundings much more interesting and enjoyable. When selecting art for your walls be careful to position the art to receive sufficient lighting and be careful with light from windows allowing direct sunlight on the art or potential window or other reflections showing on the art. When selecting photographic art consider the print options I offer below and also view the sample images in the gallery below.

High-quality prints of most of the images on this site can be made available for purchase. Please email for a quote for costs. If you require a professional framer for your prints I can recommend an excellent framer in Mississauga.

Regular print sizes available: 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, 30x45 inches and larger. Cropped sizes available: 11x14, 16x20, 20x24, 24x30, 30x40 and larger. Panoramic sized prints are also available. Depending on the image content some images on this site can be cropped if requested but most images cannot be cropped.

1A. PAPER PRINT

Professional printing on archival-quality lustre finish professional photo paper. Purchase print only and frame it yourself or take it to a professional framer. It's best to have the print mounted to protect the surface from dents or other damage. Mount on foamcore (see 1B) or have a framer mount the print.

1B. PAPER PRINT MOUNTED

Professional printing on archival-quality lustre finish professional photo paper. Print is mounted on 3/16 inch thick white foamcore. Purchase mounted print and frame it yourself or take it to a professional framer.

1C. PAPER PRINT

Professional printing on archival-quality lustre finish professional photo paper. Purchase print only and take it to a professional framer for mounting, frame, matting and glass. Image in the gallery below is for display purposes only - the frame, etc. is not included. PROS: Matting provides more opportunities to match or blend colours with your room decor. The glass will protect your print. CONS: Extra weight and costs. Regular glass can give reflections and glare which can spoil the look of the art. Glass can show fingerprints. Non-glare glass is better but can still give some reflections or glare and is very expensive. Broken glass from accidents can be dangerous to handle.

1D. PAPER PRINT

Same description as 1C above. Providing another sample of how a paper print would look in a frame with a matt.

2A. PAPER PRINT MOUNTED & LAMINATED

Professional printing on archival-quality lustre finish professional photo paper. Print is mounted onto a 1/8 inch thick masonite board and laminated with a durable, transparent, non-glare matt finish. Protects the print from fading and and is easy to clean. Custom sizes also available. PROS: Lightweight, no glare or reflections like glass, less cost and easy to maintain. CONS: requires a frame to cover the unfinished edges.

2B. PAPER PRINT MOUNTED & LAMINATED

2C. PAPER PRINT MOUNTED & LAMINATED

2D. PAPER PRINT MOUNTED & LAMINATED & FRAMED

Same description as 2A above. If preferred I can include a black metal frame as shown in gallery below. Frame has 1/4 inch front and 3/4 inch depth. Custom sizes available.

2E. PAPER PRINT with BORDER, MOUNTED, LAMINATED & FRAMED

Same description as 2A above except this print includes a white border. If preferred I can include a black metal frame as shown in gallery below. Frame has 1/4 inch front and 3/4 inch depth. Custom sizes also available.

3A. CANVAS WRAP PRINT 1.5 inch

Giclee printing process with Pigment Ink on a premium fine art matte canvas 410g/m2. The canvas is stretched over a 1.5 inch deep premium grade wood frame. The ink and canvas have archival qualities to preserve the art for many years. Canvas comes with a mat finish varnish for further protection. The canvas is wrapped around the wood frame providing an image with a three dimensional look. Custom sizes also available. PROS: Lightweight and comes wired and ready to hang. No glare or reflections. No frame costs. CONS: Not all images will work with this procedure depending on the content near the perimeter of the image.

3B. CANVAS WRAP PRINT 1.5 inch

Same description as 3A. Providing another sample with a different image and different size.

3C. CANVAS WRAP PRINT 1.75 inch

Thick poly-cotton blend canvas with an acid-free, neutral pH coating with archival quality. Premium inkjet printing. 450 GSM weight. The canvas is stretched over a 1.75 inch deep wood frame. The canvas is wrapped around the wood frame providing an image with a three dimensional look. The protective lamination satin finish adds a subtle sheen enhancing colours for a more dynamic look. PROS: Lightweight and comes wired and ready to hang. No glare or reflections. No frame costs. CONS: Not all images will work with this procedure depending on the content near the perimeter of the image. Cost is higher than item 3A.

3D. CANVAS PRINT 0.75 inch

Giclee printing process with Pigment Ink on a premium fine art matte canvas 410g/m2. The canvas is stretched over a 3/4 inch deep premium grade wood frame. The ink and canvas have archival qualities to preserve the art for many years. Canvas comes with a mat finish varnish for further protection. If you prefer displaying the canvas print in a frame, the 0.75 inch depth will work well. Consider using a floater frame. Visit a professional framer for advice.

Custom sizes also available. PROS: Lightweight with no glare or reflections. CONS: May require a frame.

4A. ACRYLIC PRINT

Images printed onto acrylic make colours vibrant and come to life with a sleek, unique finish. The stunning high gloss finish gives a rich high-quality look. Image is professionally printed on 1/8 inch thick optically clear acrylic, UV stable and rated to last for 200 years without fading or colour degrading. Backing is a solid durable board for protection from moisture and handling. Comes with a 3/4 inch deep floatmount frame on the back giving the art an appearance to be floating off the wall. Comes wired and ready to hang. PROS: Lightweight and no frame required. CONS: High gloss finish can show reflections.

5A. METAL PRINT

Printing on metal creates an eye-catching piece of contemporary wall art. The matt finish has a soft and subtle look that minimizes reflections, extremely durable and long lasting, scratch resistant, waterproof, resistant to fading, resistant to sun and humidity. Professionally printed on a high quality 1/8 inch thick aluminum panel and comes with a 3/4 inch deep floatmount frame on the back giving the art an appearance to be floating off the wall. Comes wired and ready to hang. Custom sizes also available. PROS: Lightweight, durable. CONS: Higher cost.
