Quebec 2

This gallery contains images of locations in Quebec City, Montmorency Falls (12 km east of Q City) and The Basilica of Saint-Anne-de-Beaupre (30 km east of Q City). The Parliament Building of Quebec was designed in a Second Empire style, built between 1877 and 1886 and features 26 bronze statues of historical figures on its facade to honor Quebec's history. At 83 m (272.3') high Montmorency Falls is 30 m (98.4') taller than the Horseshoe Falls at Niagara Falls in Ontario. Visitors can ride a cable car to the top of the cliff to admire the falls from a unique vantage point, climb the 487 steps of the panoramic staircase on route to the top of the falls, walk across the suspended bridge over the falls and ride on the 300 m (984') long zipline across the cove of the falls. The Basilica of Saint-Anne-de-Beaupre is a major Catholic shrine and pilgrimage site in Quebec, dedicated to Saint Anne, the grandmother of Jesus. It is North America's oldest pilgrimage site and attracts almost a million visitors annually. I hope to add images of Montreal to this gallery after another visit.
